Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Education
SHBIE offers a breadth of research supervision options. The types of research supported include national and comparative empirical studies; detailed studies of learners, classrooms and teaching involving different age groups and types; research on policy, ideas, and innovation in educational design and school leadership; action research and qualitative studies. Research includes collaborative research with schools and education departments and consultancy research. An academic staff profile is available. All research undertaken is relevant to the improvement of educational systems and articulates with cutting edge international research developments.
Graduate Research Scholarships
Graduate Research Scholarships are available from August 2010 intake onwards on competitive basis. The scholarship is renewable annually amouting BND 1,500 per month for a maximum duration of 2 years for Masters by Research and 3 years for Ph.D degree.

Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarships
The Government of Brunei Darussalam is offering annual scholarships under a special scholarship award scheme, for the 2012/2013 academic session.
