Program Description

Doctorate of Business Administration

University of Liverpool Online Programmes

The innovative approach of our Doctor of Business Administration programme advocates learning by engagement and action. You will be able to create professional actionable knowledge, both through classroom learning, and by applied research through Critical Action Learning and Action Research, utilising appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods.

Our DBA programme focuses on building critical reflection, critical thinking, and doctoral-level skills. You should graduate with the knowledge and expertise necessary to apply what you’ve learned in a variety of organisational and managerial settings. Modules include Change and Crisis Management, Leadership and Community, and Ethics, Sustainability and Social Impact. Alongside the core modules, students each write a Doctoral Development Plan (DDP) reflecting on their development as doctoral practitioners and researchers.

The admission requirements consist of a masters degree from a recognised institution, and a minimum of five years management experience at a senior level. Applicants must also have an affiliation with an appropriate organisational context within which to accomplish the Action Learning and Action Research projects.

The online DBA is covered by the University of Liverpool Management School’s AACSB Accreditation
