PhD in Mathematics
The following may apply for the Doctoral Programme:
a) People who hold a master's degree or legal equivalent degree;
b) People who hold a B.A., people who have an especially relevant school or scientific curriculum that is acknowledged as certifying capacity to obtain this study cycle by the Doctoral Programme's Scientific Committee;
c) People who have a school, scientific and professional curriculum that is acknowledged as certifying capacity to obtain this study cycle by the Doctoral Programmes Scientific Committee.
The Ph.D. programme aims to provide a solid scientific training in Mathematics, enabling the integration of students in the research activities carried out by the Centre for Research in Mathematics.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The doctorate will acquire skills that will enable him/her to develop scientific research and leadership of research projects in an autonomous way.
The Ph.D.student will enjoy the frequent contacts of the Centre for Research in Mathematics with other research centres as well as the presence of visiting scientists, the organization of regular conferences and seminars promoted by the Centre for Research in Mathematics
