This inter-university Doctoral programme in Business Administration is implemented by two Latvian partner universities: RISEBA University and BA School of Business. This programme will serve as an incubator for future thought leaders in academia and in practice by immersing them in substantial research and allowing them to work closely with senior faculty. All doctoral students undergo a two-year taught stage during which they receive a thorough grounding in research design, skills and methods. This phase includes courses in Strategic Management, Finance Management, Research Methods, as well as a number of elective courses, all contributing to the development of students’ own research projects. The research stage of the programme usually takes three years to complete. Having developed research proposals in consultation with their supervisors, students conduct their own research. RISEBA DBA candidates utilise their career experience and industry knowledge in developing research projects, which not only tackle important unresolved problems in the real world, but also make a significant contribution to their subject fields. Doctoral study program “Pedagogy” The program is designed to meet the needs of practitioners who wish to research some aspect of their field of practice. Candidates embark on high-level, practice-based research into one of the of research areas. It is a research degree whose purpose is to assist professionals to develop a relationship between research and their professional activities. Visiting professors from partner universities will be involved as teachers and advisors in the program. Students have an opportunity participate in Erasmus mobility for studies and traineeship. The language of instruction is English. Qualification awarded: Doctor’s degree in Pedagogy (PhD). Admission requirements: Master's degree in  Pedagogy,  Psychology,  Educational management or Humanitarian  Sciences, Social Science, Social welfare and social assistance if professional experience in education at least 3 years.   Duration of studies: 3 years of full time studies, 4 years of part time studies. Study program consists of 2 parts: 1.
