San Juan is the capital city of Puerto Rico and also the most populated with around 400,000 residents. It has a solid health system and other amenities. San Juan 136 public schools under the Department of Education and has 9 influential campuses and other smaller colleges.

Students who take a teaching program will be introduced to different instructing methods and tools for various ages and/or subjects. Programs may include designing curriculums and classroom management plans, motivating children, technology integration, and record keeping.

There are several institutions for higher learning located throughout Puerto Rico, with The University of Puerto Rico being the oldest and largest. As a territory of the United States, citizens may have access to additional opportunities for education.

The Doctor of Education degree allows education professionals to further their knowledge in specialized areas of study. Graduates can be prepared for roles in academia, administration, or policymaking in either educational or civic institutions.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
