Carlos III University of Madrid

PhD in Electrical and Automation Engineering, Electronics

This doctoral program is aimed at students wishing to extend their training and conduct their research in the lines of work offered by the three departments that comprise: Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Systems Engineering and Automation and Electronics Technology Department. These lines of work are:

  • Optoelectronics.
  • Photonics.
  • Artificial vision.
  • Robotics.
  • Renewable energy.
  • Power electronics.
  • Electricity markets.
  • Electric and magnetic materials.
  • Microelectronics.
  • Automation


The PhD student intended to deepen their training in these disciplines, acquiring advanced skills and knowledge to enable it carry out research, development and innovation in any of these disciplines, to prepare and submit his doctoral thesis.

GOALS

The general objectives of the Doctorate in Electrical and Automation Engineering, Electronics are aimed at:


1. The initiation of students in research and research training focused on one of the lines that are carried out in the departments participating in the program.


2. The promotion of research of the themes developed in the program.


3. The promotion and development of research in the departments participating in the program.

Training period

The criteria for admission to the training period are set out in the Masters that constitute the training period of this doctoral program, corresponding to each Master Chief assessing applications and submit to the Vice President for Graduate Admission appropriate proposal.
