Overview

The Doctorate of Business Administration is the most advanced business degree. The DBA is a practical combinationof strong academic content, coupled with advanced business strategies and solutions. The DBA is ideal for individualson a high corporate level who wish to acquire an extensive academic and industry related exposure. You will be activelyinvolved in academic research, socio–economic ideas and business interests. Some may find it very suitable for givingtheir career an academic direction.

Module Overview

On successful completion of the DBA program students will be able to:

  • apply relevant theoretical knowledge to contemporary business problems;
  • critique contemporary organizational practice in the light of relevant theory;
  • explain the principles of, and apply, a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods frequently used in business research;
  • determine and apply appropriate research methods to business management problems;
  • critically evaluate business research studies in order to assess their quality and applicability in improving the effective handling of business management problems;
  • acquire and utilize knowledge of behavioral, policy and strategic issues to improve the effectiveness of their own organizations;
  • identify, analyze and evaluate internal and external environmental influences on organizations in order to develop strategic plans for the management of change and development;
  • demonstrate superior oral and written communications skills relevant to business; and
  • Link the educational experience directly with their own workplace experience.


The CSSS DBA program shall be completed by coursework and thesis. Participants are required to complete the following stages:

  • Dissertation Proposal, Thesis & Defense

Objectives

Teaching Methodology

Those studying for the qualifications of the CSSS are offered a structured learning process, encompassing both the theoretical and practical aspects of the industry, integrating the various subjects, together with a clearly defined pattern of career development through progressive grades of membership.

Doctorate of Business Administration requires a minimum of 600 learning hours. Students can achieve the guided learning hours in combination of face to face classroom interactions, attending seminars, visits to the businesses, self-study and group study as well as research work. Students will be required to attend a certain number of lecture hours to support their studies, and will receive guidance to complete the learning hours. Students completing this qualification should be able to demonstrate their ability as independent students. They will be required to participate in class giving opinions and views based on complementary readings. All participants are encouraged to analyse and solve case studies based on real and simulated business situations for training purposes.

Assessment of students' work will be carried out by a range of methods including assignment, essay examination or work assessment. Students’ work will be measured against the specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria of each unit.

Admission at CSSS sets minimum criteria which have been designed to identify applicants whohave sound academic potential and who show creativity, critical thinking, social and moral values, evidence of English language proficiency and strong motivation.

Successful applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Master degree from an internationally recognized academic institution or possess
  • a recognized Bachelor Degree with at least 10 years working experience at managerial level and be at least 35 years old.
  • Proficiency in English

  • Application fee (non-refundable, paid with application) - 300 EUR
  • Tuition Fee for the Program (CTH120 Credits) - 14,000 EUR

Grant

Students are eligible to apply for the grant if they have been offered a place to study on a full-time course at Castelldefels School of Social Science in Barcelona.

Merit-based Grants

Open For: Based primarily on grades, academic scholarships reward students with strong academic performance. Candidates should also describe how the academic merit and professional success has provided them with leadership potential.

Need-based Grants

Need-based scholarships are awarded based on student or student’s parents’ financial background. These need-based scholarships are designed to aid with studies when students or their guardians are not able to afford tuition and fees.

Women in Business

There’s been great progress in bridging the gap between equal rights of men and women — but we still have a way to go. The Women in Business Grant is for female applicants who have work or internship experience or have led a team in an international environment. For this scholarship, CSSS is seeking female leaders who have experience and understand today’s global working environment.

Accredited Disability Grant

The Accredited Disability Grant is a discretionary fund intended to help support students with disabilities who are not eligible for statutory funding.

CSSS provides mock interview as the opportunity to learn about the job and the employer and be confident. CSSS has been supporting students by arranging the following:

Career Fairs and Networking

CSSS organize as many career fairs and encourage students to attend fair sessions as this give will them the opportunity for internships, jobs and to develop good networking. Students can benefit solicit information, advice and facilitate their job search.

Graduate Internships

CSSS Academic Internship Agreement allows students to do internship as fundamental part of the study which can be extremely beneficial.

Summer Internship: students can have the possibilities to go to USA on work and Travel (J1visa) which will be assist by UITM, Poland. They will have the opportunity to improve their English.
