Introduction
The Antwerp Management School Executive PhD Program is a 4 year, research-based program for senior executives looking to apply relevant knowledge and research skills to contemporary business problems in their industry or workplace. The program is a premium executive development program designed to be academically rigorous and intellectually challenging.
Our PhD program is tailor made around the needs of Executives and Managers who aim to translate their expertise and market know-how into a PhD degree. It addresses life-long learning aspirations of intellectually active professionals who have already obtained advanced degrees in their fields and wish to continue their education on the highest level. As such, the program enables you to acquire a new mindset and apply scientific methodologies to actual business issues. Therefore, the program has a major impact on your personal and professional development.
This program is designed for senior executives with over 10 years of relevant management experience, who work in organizations that are predominantly internationally oriented. A significant proportion is expected to hold board-level or CEO positions. Participants should have a commitment to life-long learning, and personal and leadership development.

Dates
The four-year part-time program starts in October.
Stage 1 leads to the preparation of a PhD research proposal.
Stage 2 focuses on supervised research, advanced teaching competencies and lecturing skills, and culminates in the defense of a doctoral dissertation.
Fees
The program tuition fee for the 2021 – 2025 PhD cohort is € 63.100 (VAT exempt):
The respective fees will be invoiced according to the invoicing milestones hereafter, on a yearly basis. All invoices are payable within 30 days.
Invoicing milestones:
Stage 1: 37.100 euro
€19.800 (minus your deposit paid) will be invoiced in July 2021)
€17.300 will be invoiced in April 2022
Stage 2: 26.000 euro
€13.000 will be invoiced in August 2023
€13.000 will be invoiced in April 2024
In case you need an additional academic year (double a year and/or need an extension of the support), there will be an additional charge of €6500.

Requirements
Antwerp Management School only admits participants to the Executive PhD program with the intrinsic motivation and eagerness to contribute to academic research and to become the next generation business leaders. Candidates must hold an MBA or master's degree from an accredited academic institution and must have extensive managerial experience. The Program is taught in English therefore an excellent knowledge of oral and written English is required.
Applicants whose native language is not English might be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Degree/certification
After successfully defending your doctoral dissertation, you will acquire a PhD Degree issued by the University of Antwerp. Either a "PhD in Management" or a "PhD in Social Sciences".
