That said, PhD recipients are able to engage in thought experiments, reason about problems, and solve problems in sophisticated ways.

Several inputs, including financial data, the current and predicted state of markets, legal information and others, are used for short- and long-term planning. Organizational management frequently uses these inputs to aid in planning, leadership, organization and resource control.
