This programme allows students to master the scientific methods of research and information systems development so that they can apply informatics to real world problems. Students will become skilled in the use of advanced information technology for data collection, transmission, storage and the processing of information and knowledge. They will then become familiar with computer applications in various information domains and be able to design, implement, evaluate and maintain systems. As this is a rapidly developing field, students will be prepared for newly emerging professions. Graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administration have a firm grasp of modern information technologies and have the opportunity to cooperate with corporate partners in the industry, giving them practical experience. Their skills and experience will make them sought-after in the labour market, with many career options in – for example – public administration. The city of Pardubice offers safe and affordable cost of living, and easy access to major cities in Europe. As part of their studies, students can also collaborate with international partners in the form of research, publications or visits. PhD students are expected to complete an international internship of at least one month.
