This study programme has a strong interdisciplinary focus and considers with role of informatics and economics in Information and Knowledge Management. Students will integrate various aspects of information systems, such as data management and security, intelligent systems and artificial intelligence with aspects of public economics and administration. They will gain a deeper understanding of the ever-changing context, needs and development of the knowledge economy. The course comprises educational activities organised by three institutions: The Faculty of Economics and Administration of the University of Pardubice, the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Liberec, and the Faculty of Management and Information Technology of the University of Hradec Králové. Graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administration have a firm grasp of modern technologies and have the opportunity to cooperate with corporate partners in the industry, giving them practical experience. Their skills and experience will make them sought-after in the labour market, with many career options in public administration. The city of Pardubice offers safe and affordable cost of living, and easy access to major cities in Europe. As part of their studies, students can also collaborate with international partners in the form of research, publications or visits. PhD students are expected to complete an international internship of at least one month.
