Doctor of Philosophy in Business Informatics


We are currently accepting applications for semester 1/2013. Scholarships are available.


Program Objectives: The rapid ongoing development of information and communication technology hardware, firmware and software has significantly impacted the way organizations manage their business. It has become necessary for management to become aware of these new developments as they drive new business initiatives from management and technological points of views.

To meet the demand, DPUIC is offering a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Informatics for business executives and leaders who want to complement their presentation skills with an up-to-date understanding and knowledge of the information and communication technology-rich business environment. This program was also designed to improve research in information and communication technology.



Students in this program will:

  • Have a clear understanding of the information and communication technology-rich business environment.
  • Acquire research skills needed for IT strategic planning to determine an organization’s future.
  • Become senior managers who can keep up-to-date with the advancement of information and communication technologies relevant to business operations and management.




Semesters:


Semester 1: August - December

Semester 2: January - May

Summer: June - August



Program Timetable:

Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Postgraduate Applications Accepted: DPUIC accepts Admission Application throughout the year; however, incoming postgraduate students can only begin their studies during Semester 1 or Semester 2.

DPUIC is the international college set up by Dhurakij Pundit University to meet the increasing demand for degree courses of international standards taught in English. The reasons for starting it are obvious. Each year, hundreds of Thai students spend enormous sums of money to study in universities, colleges and schools overseas. Those with no financial means to go abroad have limited opportunities of getting a tertiary education in English at home. By making such courses available in Bangkok, DPUIC is able to meet their needs and save them time and money as well. Read less
