The Department offered only graduate programs leading to masters and doctoral degrees until 1998 when the undergraduate program was launched. The Department of Architecture aims at education innovative researchers in architecture and combining excellence in education with cutting-edge research. The objectives of the graduate program are: Graduating students with a high critical-capacity, theoretically equipped, having the abilities to develop new perspectives and researching with contemporary methods and tools; and producing information for the use different accumulations and technologies both in the profession and, in general, for the benefit of society. The graduates play active roles in Turkey and international platforms. Activities are oriented to advanced design, theoretical analysis, soft-computing, and experimentation.
