The Doctoral Program in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering presented comes from the rigorous adaptation of the Chemical Doctorate and Chemical Engineering Program, Mention of Quality of the MEC since 2004 (MCD 2004/00261) which also obtained the Mention Toward Excellence in the year 2011 (MEE2011-0426).
The social context in which the program is developed is that of a community with a scarce industrial fabric, which includes 224 companies within the chemical industry concept, 97 in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 127 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, according to the directory of companies.

What do we offer within the STARS program?
All PhD students receive a state-guaranteed scholarship of 10.500,- Czech crowns per month in their first year of study; the scholarship increases slightly (10.500,- + additional 2.000,- once the doctor examination is successfully passed) over the course of 4 years for which it is granted. In addition to the state scholarship, the STARS program students will also be granted the STARS-scholarship of at least 10.000 CZK per month. The STARS-scholarship is guaranteed for 4-year study period for those students, who will obtain grade "A" (excellent) in a regular each-year evaluation....

Description of verification and evaluation criteria
The entrance exam is a one-round in the form of an interview. Based on a written request submitted electronically together with the application but no later than by 19 May 2019, the Dean may permit the entrance examination to take place via information and communication technology, but only for serious and documented reasons such as health or study abroad.
