A PhD or Doctor of Philosophy is a postgraduate academic degree awarded by universities. Once one attains a PhD he or she may often be referred to as a doctor.
In Computer Engineering, you will be exposed to the right skills in handling the devices and structuring quality techniques and algorithms in computers. Learn more and do effective research while on your doctorate program in fields such as Computer architecture and VLSI and FPGA, Robotics, automation, machine perception and sensing or Software engineering, Web development and computational sciences.
Turkey, officially the Republic of Turkey, is a transcontinental country, located mostly on Anatolia in Western Asia and on East Thrace in Southeastern Europe. Many Turkish universities (both public and private) are participating in pan-European student exchange programs (Socrates, Erasmus, and the like). Some also have agreements with non-European universities, too.

The innovative programs offered by the Department aim to prepare students to become highly qualified professionals needed in industry, government, and academia.
The Department of Computer Engineering was established in 1993 at the Faculty of Engineering. A four-year Computer Engineering program based on practice-oriented curriculum is offered. The department also offers Master of Science and Doctoral programs in Computer Engineering. Modern educational infrastructure and teaching environment support our mission to provide students high-level computer engineering education.
The undergraduate curricula are designed to enable graduates to identify, formulate, and solve problems using engineering principles. The practice-oriented programs encourage students to work on real-world problems and gain some work experience. Furthermore, it is expected that these programs supported by modern computer laboratories and advanced foreign language teaching facilities provide significant advantages for our graduates to work within a global economy and within a competitive environment. Apart from the fundamental courses such as calculus and physics the engineering courses included in the curriculum are logic design, microprocessors, computer architecture, programming languages, discrete structures, databases, operating systems, computer networks and computer graphics. Some elective courses including image processing, neural networks, e-commerce, geographical information systems also offered to enhance the curriculum....
Graduate education in computational science and engineering (CMSE) at Koç University is offered through an interdisciplinary program among the Departments of the College
PhD in Computational Sciences and Engineering Graduate education in computational science and engineering (CMSE) at Koç University is offered through an interdisciplinary program among the Departments of the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering. In this program graduate, students are trained on modern computational science techniques and their applications to solve scientific and engineering problems. New technological problems and associated research challenge heavily depend on computational modeling and problem-solving. Because of the availability of powerful and inexpensive computers, model-based computational experimentation is now a standard approach to analysis and design of complex systems where real experiments can be expensive or infeasible. Graduates of the CMSE Program should be capable of formulating solutions to computational problems through the use of multidisciplinary knowledge gained from a combination of classroom and laboratory experiences in basic sciences and engineering. Individuals with B.S. degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, and related engineering disciplines should apply for graduate study in the CMSE Program.Research areas of interest...
