Doctoral Programme in Management and Waste Treatment

The doctoral program in Management and Waste Treatment (PDGTR) consists of a curricular component and the elaboration of a thesis, a total of 180 ECTS, of which 110 are related to the dissertation and the 70 courses.

It is a teaching inter-research centers of the School of the University of Minho project (EEUM), involving the Territory Engineering Centers, Environment and Construction (C-TAC) of Mechanical and Materials Technologies (CT2M) Institute polymers and Composites (IPC) and Biological Engineering (CEB). The purpose of PDGTR is to provide specialized training to develop in students the ability to contribute to the advancement of processes and treatment technologies and waste recovery through creative and independent research. The structuring objective is to promote excellence and research in the field of treatment and recovery of waste, with emphasis on the search for new solutions and the corresponding design and modeling, the optimization of existing solutions and the most efficient operation of treatment facilities, as well as the integration of associated technologies, to reduce negative environmental impacts....
