PhD Programs in Operations Management in Asia 2023

The PhD is a doctoral degree, specifically called a "doctor of philosophy" degree. This is misleading because PhD holders are not necessarily philosophers (unless they earned their degree in philosophy!). That said, PhD recipients are able to engage in thought experiments, reason about problems, and solve problems in sophisticated ways.

Operations management is a multidisciplinary field intended to help businesses maintain efficient operating practices and procedures while using minimal resources and manpower. Students of operations management undergo education relating to the planning, organizing or supervising of the production of goods and services.

Students who complete a part of their degree in Asia are growing in numbers. Currently, the second and the third biggest economies are in Asia. Without limitation, students have described their time in Asia as the best experience of their lives. Today, three of the four most populated countries of the world are in Asia: China, India, and Indonesia.
