Part time Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work in Europe

Social Work

The PhD is a doctoral degree, specifically called a "doctor of philosophy" degree. This is misleading because PhD holders are not necessarily philosophers (unless they earned their degree in philosophy!). That said, PhD recipients are able to engage in thought experiments, reason about problems, and solve problems in sophisticated ways.

Obtaining a PhD degree in social work prepares you to do policy analysis and research in both academic and non-academic research centers. The aim of this degree is to improve the situations that are currently experienced in the whole world. This will also enable you to understand man and his needs better.

There are more than four thousand higher education organizations in Europe, from leading research institutions to small, teaching-focused universities. Europe itself is not as much different than other continents, reaching from the Arctic Circle to the coast of Africa.
