Theology

The PhD is a doctoral degree, specifically called a "doctor of philosophy" degree. This is misleading because PhD holders are not necessarily philosophers (unless they earned their degree in philosophy!). That said, PhD recipients are able to engage in thought experiments, reason about problems, and solve problems in sophisticated ways.

Theology studies the nature of divinity through reviewing a variety of religious and philosophical beliefs. It is sometimes, but not necessarily, studied in order to work within a specific religion. Courses included can be comparative religion, philosophy and spiritual scripture, as well as religion’s effects on history, economics and politics.

Higher education in Colombia is done in the five common international languages namely English, French, Spanish Portuguese and Chinese. This has eliminated the issue of language barriers in these higher education institutions among other international students.
