Centre for Advanced Studies of the South East (Centro de Estudios Superiores del Sureste)

The history of our Institution begins in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, in 1996.

The Centro de Estudios Superiores del Sureste (CESS) is a higher-level institution of culture, education, technology, and science, which seeks development permanent and pedagogical excellence with a view to providing a better academic service to the community.

It has the high responsibility of graduating trained professionals, bearers of the best virtues and values ​​of Mexican society and it is nourished by the contributions of avant-garde scientific and moral thought in our country so that its graduates

can be true agents of change in society, perform professionally with freedom, relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, creativity, critical spirit, honesty and responsibility.

We defend the unity of the instructive and the educational in the teaching process; of varied and updated information and intellectual and axiological training; teaching and life; the university open to the community; the combination of study and professional work and the development of thinking, metacognitive skills, competencies and personal qualities that graduates must have to perform creatively in their various spheres of professional, social and personal performance, based on behavioral norms and humanistic and progressive values.
