A candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy shall undertake a program of study and research approved by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. The program shall include the presentation of a thesis and/or other work approved by the Committee, embodying the results of the candidates study and research, for examination.

A supervisor or supervisors shall be appointed with the approval of the University and will provide direction and advice to the candidate.

Applicants into this course are required to provide: referees reports, research proposal outline (400-600 words), certified academic transcripts and other supporting documentation.

The University currently allocates a limited number of fees waiver scholarships. Applicants for this degree may apply.

You must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree with second class Honours division A, or an Australian Masters degree (with a substantial research component). Alternatively, you may have other qualifications and/or experience equivalent to these degrees.

If you are a domestic student applying for a Masters or PhD program and/or a Scholarship, you will need to attach:

Certified photocopies or a printout of supporting documents including all units/subjects with grades for qualifying degrees
