Introduction
Dept. of Civil Engineering offers degrees in the following disciplines: mechanics and structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resource engineering, materials engineering, transportation engineering, geo-information engineering and information technology. The department provides teaching and research facilities, including Computer Laboratory and Experimental Center of Civil Engineering, for high-quality education and research. The Experimental Center of Civil Engineering, with total space of 6,500 square meters, is equipped with the most advanced instruments, such as high-capacity actuators, reaction walls, strong floor, loading frames, bi-axial shake table, large-scale geotechnical centrifuge, large-scale soil pit, atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel, and is the most important experimental unit for civil engineering research in Taiwan.
Requirements for Graduation
Required credits: 24 credits
Duration of Study: 2~7 years
Other requirements :
- Pass qualification examination within the first five semesters.
- Publish at least two papers (in SCI, SSCI or EI Journal)
- Thesis
- Pass an oral defense of dissertation
