Introduction
The PhD in Psychology emerges as the fruit of a serious investment in this scientific area, not only through the provision of a highly qualified and research-oriented teaching staff, but also through the investment in its own infrastructures and specific resources, which serve both pedagogical and how they assume themselves as intentional promoters of the scientific activities of students and teachers. The study plan emphasizes the recognition and integration of the most recent research trends in psychology, both conceptual and methodological.
Why a PhD in Psychology?
Main benefits
Given the research potential and the results already obtained by the teaching team, this cycle of studies has 3 areas of specialization:
- Clinical and Health Psychology
- Economic and Organizational Psychology
- Educational and Developmental Psychology.
The investment made in infrastructures and resources, as well as the research networks that teachers have built throughout their careers, will enable original research to be carried out in the field of Psychology in close coordination with research projects developed by researchers at the Universidade Europeia , whether individually, either as part of the research projects they coordinate, or through attendance at the UC “Immersion in Psychology Research Projects”, or through completion of the doctoral thesis. Furthermore, this investment also allows contact with excellent researchers, namely through the holding of the UC “Doctoral Seminar in Psychology” and the invitation for these personalities to participate in the thesis project and doctoral thesis juries. It is expected to stimulate the production of doctoral students and the dissemination of results within the scientific community, to which the UC “Research Development and Publication” will make a relevant contribution, supporting the intentionalization of their scientific research work in Psychology, for the promotion of its publication/dissemination within the scientific community and society.
