Introduction
This is a place for intellectually curious and motivated students who want to learn about deep research methodology to influence education policy and practice. The most common methodological specializations in this program area are in (1) psychometrics, educational assessment, and (2) applied statistics.
All Research & Evaluation Methodology (REM) students can expect to be involved in the Center for Assessment, Design, Research, and Evaluation (CADRE). The mission of CADRE is to produce generalizable knowledge that improves the ability to assess student learning and evaluate programs and methods that may affect this learning. CADRE projects represent a collaboration with the ongoing activities in the School of Education, the university, and the broader national and international community of scholars and stakeholders involved in educational assessment and evaluation.
